9 Surprising Physical Traits Men Subconsciously Look For In A Woman

If you ask a guy what he finds attractive in a woman, the answer will probably be something between ‘nice butt’ and ‘pretty face’. Although not many are so direct, most of them still believe that all these things are among the most important in a girl. It will come as a huge surprise to both men and women that things work differently on a subconscious level. While all the above-mentioned traits do draw guys to certain types of women, there’s a bunch of other characteristics that play a much more important role. Subconsciously, guys are all about childbearing abilities! Yes, you heard that right. The study at the University of Newcastle in England also revealed that such traits as kindness and agreeability play an important role as well because back in the day women were relied upon in forming various social alliances. So, here are 10 surprising physical traits guys look for in women.

High – pitched voices
It may shock many women that guys find high-pitched voices more attractive than deep husky ones. It happens so because high-pitched voices are associated with youth and high energy levels and are generally perceived as more feminine. Studies support that idea! It’s different for women who usually like men with deeper voices, which suggest bigger bodies and more strength.

Smile
Not only does smiling improve your mood, it also makes you look good. Men find smiling incredibly attractive on a subconscious level and are drawn to women who are not afraid to show that they are friendly and approachable. Smiling also indicates friendliness and agreeability, which is also attractive to men according to studies.

Less makeup
Makeup gurus will be sad to hear this one. It appears that guys find makeup-less ladies much more attractive than those who are clad in makeup armor. A study from the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology revealed that both men and women find faces with less makeup more attractive. Women shouldn’t focus on makeup so much – they can let their true beauty shine as it is!

Huge eyes
Girls with big eyes apparently look more feminine and gentle than the rest of them women. Bigger eyes are also linked to longevity, health and reproductive potential. How, you might wonder? Bigger eyes signal of higher estrogen levels, which means that it’s easier for such women to conceive than for those with lower estrogen levels.

Symmetry
Symmetrical faces may not be very common, but guys find them more appealing than others. It has to do with beauty and good genes. And the better genes women have, the healthier babies they will have. It works as simple as that! Lopsidedness is associated with bad genes and poor health, which is not so attractive for men.

It’s not about the butts
We all know that guys prefer big butts, but what we don’t know is that it’s not big fat bottoms they find so attractive, but butts created by spinal curve instead of fat. Turkey’s Bilkent University has conducted an experiment during which men had to select from women with different spine curvature. It turned out that the most attractive females were those with a curvature of 45.5 degrees, which did make their butts appear bigger. Guys who think they like big bottoms may actually be into spines!

Average looks
It turns out that guys find ‘average-looking’ girls more attractive than the super gorgeous ones. Why that happens? The answer lies in evolutionary biology. Scientists have determined that average-looking women have a more diverse set of genes, which is a good thing when it comes to reproduction. Men feel this on a subconscious level and get drawn to average looks.

Scent
We’ve all heard about pheromones, but what we don’t know is how much they affect our choice of partner. Men basically ‘sniff out’ the most genetically compatible mate that can give them healthy babies. Apparently, pheromones give out all kind of information about us, including the state of out immune system and the fertility levels.

Red color
Not only animals use color red as a marker for mating – it appears humans do too! Guys are biologically wired to react to red color in a specific way, so if women want to draw guys’ attention, they should just wear red dresses (or lipstick, or shoes). Studies show that most men have no idea about this effect and that color red doesn’t affect women as it does men.

To reclaim your Mavros, the site requires you to fill in the name and email you used to register your MMM account but the method of how the investors can reclaim their money is also not specified on the website.
However, Naij.com cannot confirm if the site is authentic and operated by promoters of MMM in Nigeria as a guider in the scheme promised to get back to us when our reporter spoke with him.
“I can’t confirm this. I’m just seeing it also. I will get back to you once I have information about this MMM Reclaim,” he said.

However, many make mockery and humour of situations to christen the president 73 years after his official christening by parents.
Here are some funny names Nigerians call President Muhammadu Buhari:

(1) Sai Baba
This is the slogan, used majorly during the electioneering campaign in 2015. And till today, Northerners use the word frequently to praise the president. Police arrest Lagos pastor for N3m land fraud

Afeez Hanafi
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested the pastor of a church in the Ayobo area of the state, Gabriel Olakitan, for allegedly defrauding a businessman of N3m.
It was learnt that the 64-year-old suspect had sold a parcel of land in the area to the businessman and issued him a receipt to that effect.
The land was said to have been handed over to the pastor by one Bayo, who is based in London, to sell for N2.9m.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the pastor, after collecting N3m from Cornelius, only paid N1m into Bayo’s account.
Trouble started when Bayo came to Nigeria sometime in 2014 and reportedly stopped workers hired by Cornelius to clear weeds on the land for construction.
The case was reported at the Area M Command, Idimu, where an agreement was said to have been reached that the pastor would repay Cornelius in installment.
But the sexagenarian did not keep to the agreement, and was re-arrested on July 7, 2016, by the police from the Ayobo division.
Cornelius told the police that all efforts to claim the possession of the land or get his money back had been futile.
He said, “Gabriel (Olakitan) acted as an agent to Bayo. I paid him N3m for one and half plots of land in March 2013, but I was unable to take the possession of the land. I later discovered that he only remitted N1m into Bayo’s account.
“The case was reported to the police and all the parties were invited. But Bayo did not show up. We wanted to start clearing the weeds on the land when Bayo brought some policemen to stop us.”
The pastor reportedly confessed to the fraud, saying he had spent part of the N3m to settle a land case in Ogun State.
“I am a pastor and a land agent. It is true I collected N3m for the land – N2.9m for the land and N100,000 to process the receipt. I only remitted N1m to the owner, Bayo, through his wife. I know what I did is wrong and is against the law. I will try my best to pay the remaining N1.9m to the owner of the land so that the buyer can take the possession,” he added.
A police prosecutor, Inspector E. Ayomide, brought Olakitan before an Ogba Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on fraud.
The charge read, “That you, Gabriel Olakitan, sometime in March 2013, at about 10am on Ibidapo Street, Ipaja-Ayobo, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully obtain the sum of N3m from one Oke Cornelius, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 312 (a) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011.
“That you, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did fraudulently convert the sum to your personal use, property of one Oke Cornelius, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 278 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011.”
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge before the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O.J. Awope.
The magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till August 12, 2016.

Don’t try Buhari’s impeachment, Anenih warns PDP lawmakers

Olusola Fabiyi, Abuja

A former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Tony Anenih, has warned members of the party in the National Assembly not to contemplate the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He also asked the Chairman of the party’s National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, to dissuade the PDP caucus in the National Assembly from participating in what he described as an “ill-advised adventure.”

He stated this in a four-page letter to Makarfi, which was dated July 15, 2016.

In the letter, which was made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Anenih said he was persuaded that the time was neither right nor the reasons compelling enough to contemplate the impeachment of the President.

He asked Makarfi to personally lead the process of consultation with the PDP members in the National Assembly, with a view to getting them to “play a patriotic, rather than partisan role, at this time of national economic and social uncertainty.”

The letter was titled ‘The PDP Caucus in the National Assembly and the threat to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.’

It read in part, “I am concerned about the noise coming out of the National Assembly to the effect that some of our distinguished senators and honourable members are contemplating a move to impeach the President…

“I wish to appeal to you to use your noble offices as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of our great party to dissuade our party members, in the National Assembly, from embarking on or participating in this ill-advised adventure.

“I am persuaded, sir, that the time is neither right nor the reasons compelling enough to contemplate the impeachment of the President.”

The former Minister of Works said while the National Assembly might have its grouse against the President, he, however, believed that the options of consultation, dialogue and negotiation had yet to be exhausted.

He said the national leadership of the party must assist in persuading its members in the National Assembly to persevere in the pursuit of these options.

“I do not believe an attempt at impeachment, at this time, is in the best interest of the party, or the country. Such a move will create tension, instability and even crisis in our body-polity. It will unleash all those fissiparous forces which, in the last few months, have begun to gain momentum,” he warned.

Fundamentally, he said the role of the PDP as the main opposition party, should be to concern itself with an inward review of why Nigerians lost faith in its members and in the party’s vision for the country.

Anenih added that the focus should therefore be on trying to figure out how the party could once again regain this trust.

He said, “As a party in opposition, what I expect is constructive criticism of the ruling party when it goes wrong.

“Playing an active role in the internal power struggles between factions of the ruling party is an unnecessary distraction and an exercise that appears to promote personal agenda rather than the national interest.

“I am not unaware that the times are hard; that Nigerians are groaning under the weight of unpaid salaries and astronomical increases in the cost of living, that ballooning security problems are increasingly threatening to rip apart the fabric of our national existence, and that Nigerians feel more divided today than they have ever felt, but it would be unfair to blame this President or this government for all of these problems.

“Instructively, none of these problems was floated as justification for the threat of impeachment by the National Assembly.

“On the economy, it is a well known fact that all oil-producing countries are suffering from an economic downturn because of the radical drop in the price of crude oil.”

Anenih added that as a mono-product economy, depending on crude oil, there was no magic bubble that could have insulated Nigeria completely from the systemic shocks caused by the attendant loss of revenue.

He stated that rather than seek scapegoats, the situation demanded that all our institutions, political parties and leaders should set aside all partisan interests and work together to wade through these difficult times.

“It is, therefore, my wish and prayer that you will, personally, lead the process of consultation with our members in the National Assembly, with a view to getting them to play a patriotic, rather than partisan role, at this time of national economic and social uncertainty,” he added.

How married woman died in hotel – Residents

Afeez Hanafi
Neighbours of a woman, who died last Friday in a hotel in Ikotun, Lagos State, have opened up on what transpired shortly before her death.
They said the deceased, who was identified only as Iya Ginika, had left home around 9pm on the day, telling her husband that she wanted to visit a friend in the neighbourhood.
The residents told our correspondent on Tuesday that the woman, in her 50s, had claimed that she wanted to collect something from the friend.
They added that they were shocked when news filtered in that she was found dead in Taola Hotel on Prince Adeyemi Street, Ikotun.
The deceased lived on K & S Street, Abaranje Road – a few kilometres from the hotel.
PUNCH Metro had reported on Monday that the woman and her lover had stayed in the hotel around 9.30pm on Friday and paid to spend an hour.
However, workers of the hotel became apprehensive when it was 12am the following day and the lovers did not check out.
One of the workers was said to have entered the room to discover that the woman was dead while her lover had fled.
The case was reported to the police at the Ikotun division.
A neighbour of the deceased told PUNCH Metro on Tuesday that she had lied to her husband, identified simply as Henry, that she wanted to visit a friend who lived on Prince Adeyemi Street.
The neighbour, who did not want her name in print, said she was shocked when she learnt that the woman died in the hotel.
She said, “Around 9pm on Friday, she told her husband that she wanted to visit a friend on the street where the hotel is located. The husband and her children became confused when she did not return.
“It was the following day when the news of her death was broken that the husband realised he had lied to him. She was about 50 years old.
“Her husband is a motorcyclist and he tries his best to provide for the family. She used to run a lotto shop but later stopped. She sold fish and soup ingredients before her death,” he added.
When contacted, the deceased’s husband, Henry, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone, said she would be buried later this month. He, however, declined comments when asked where her late wife told him he was going on the day.
“She suffered from high blood pressure before her death. We will bury her later this month,” he said.
But the deceased’s daughter, who collected the phone from her father, said the family did not want to dwell on the incident in order to protect its image.
“We don’t want to be discussing this matter. We have our future to protect and we don’t want the incident to destroy the image of the family. Please, don’t call this number again,” she added.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the police were still on the trail of the fleeing lover.

Security concept: computer keyboard with word Cyber Crime, selected focus on enter button background, 3d render. Photo credit Yepp
Abuja – The Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu, says Nigeria is losing about N127billion which is 0.8 per cent of the country’s Gross Domestic Products (GDP), to cybercrime yearly.
Shittu said this in Abuja on Tuesday at the opening of the 26th National Conference and Exhibition of the Nigeria Computer Society.
According to him, “our growing dependence on digital infrastructure introduces and poses grave threats to national security.’’
He said many Nigerians now had access to internet facilities; using the enormous opportunities this digital infrastructure had brought to work, transact business, campaign, communicate, learn, interact and relax.
“To address emerging cyber threats, government has set up computer emergency response teams through the Office of the National Security Adviser and NITDA.
“Additionally, to further improve the nation’s preparedness to secure cyberspace, the Cybercrime Advisory Council has also been inaugurated.
“The council is expected to facilitate the implementation of the Cybercrime Act, 2015, as well as the National Cyber Security Policy and Strategy.
The minister said that the Ministry of Communications was engaging the Nigerian Army on possible technology collaboration to tackle the activities of insurgents and other security challenges in the country.
Shittu said that it was appropriate that the efforts of the armed forces and the significant achievements in the fight against Boko Haram were recognised.
He said that though the army was already using some technology platforms, there may be some requiring close attention by the conference.
“Beyond military might, financial crimes and corruption are added burdens to the national security challenges that threaten the very existence and development of the nation’’, he said.
Shittu said growth was impossible without safety and security.
He said that; “Information Technology for National Safety and Security” which is the theme of the conference, was relevant.
“This is because it aligns with the national safety and security priority of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Securing lives and properties are enablers and imperative for growth and development.’’
Mr Babachir Lawal , Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), said Information Technology for national safety and security was germane to the commitment of the present administration.
Represented by Bamgbose Olukunle, Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs Office of the SGF, Babachir said ICT was also relevant in tackling the security challenges bedeviling the nation.
Lawal said government would leverage on IT to enhance national safety and security, adding that the greatest challenge of any nation was insecurity.
“ I implore stakeholders in the ICT sector to work towards producing a reliable, actionable and appropriate IT policies, solutions and systems capable of tackling our security concerns.
“This becomes necessary following the massive corrupt practices uncovered recently and the destruction unleashed on our people and national assets by terrorists, militants and kidnappers.
“This will go a long way to achieving our national development strategies and sustainable development goals.
“ICT is a strong promoter of development; government will continue to provide an enabling environment for its growth.’’
President of Nigeria Computer Society, Prof Adesola Aderounmu, said more proactive approach was needed to tackle the menace of insecurity in the country.
Aderounmu said this year’s focus on Information Technology for National Safety and Security was crucial considering the various security challenges facing the nation. (NAN)
